"The policies and mechanisms to improve the competitiveness of Suriname"
On Thursday 7 – and Friday 8 February 2013, in the KKF-building Kernkampweg the 1st National Competitiveness Forum held Suriname. The Forum will be opened by the President of the Republic of Suriname. During this two-day Forum will be through lectures, sessions and panel discussions provide a basis for a comprehensive policy for Competitiveness Program of Suriname and practical approach to development.
The Forum is organized by the "Competitiveness Unit Suriname" appointed by the government with the mandate to coordinate all activities which serve to strengthen competitiveness, the business environment and raise awareness about our competitive ability enlarge.
The Government of Suriname is committed to economic growth and prosperity and to increase the signal for the development of a Competitiveness Programme for Suriname. The Unit will develop competitiveness program which will serve as a tool for implementing a thorough and broad-based policy on competitiveness and which should be aimed at both the development of long-term goals and the needs of the population
The Forum is the beginning of a large-scale strategic campaign that there should achieve broad community work will be to strengthen the competitiveness of Suriname, both nationally, regionaal als internationaal. The keywords here are o.a. increased productivity, innovation, Science and Technology, Education, new skills, awareness, integrated approach and strategic policy.
To broaden support all public, private, social and scientific orgainsaties and other interested parties to share their experiences, to create an integrated network and to determine how the level of awareness and cooperation in the area of strengthening the competitiveness of Suriname may be.
