In october 2012 by Compete Caribbean / IDB organized a study tour to Panama which the CUS has participated. It also participated HI and the Ministry of the Interior. This study tour aimed to gain experience on the basis of the Panamanian concept of competitiveness. This middle american country is on the 14th place in the Global Competitiveness Index 2012. The Panama Canal has been one of the major drivers for this success.
